Its Raining Bras!

Literally! A little while ago i bought out a lot(100 to be exact) of deastock 1940s and 1950s bullet bras and sadly they have just been bagged up in my garage for quite some time now, but spring is here and i spent the day going through and cleaning up some old shop inventory and i thought it was time to pull these babies out! Slowly, but surly they will seep their way into the shop!

Im not sure when they will all be in the shop because i feel like i owe them all a proper photo shoot or something. Its not every day i come across a plethora of pretty 40s and 50s lace bars! Until then i thought i would just share some of my favorites that i randomly pulled from the pile!

Sneak Peek!

Whoa, i can't believe it's been a whole week since i posted last! Sometimes i really dont know where my time goes! But i spent a majority of last week planning the workings of this years summer lookbook for the shop and styling a few other shoots for other people, however i thought i would share a few sneak peak photos from friday's lookbook shoot for the shop that i took with my 35mm camera!
And,if you'd like you can check out last years summer lookbook HERE!

I had such a fun morning, shooting at the beach with every body! The weather was so beautiful, i almost forgot i was 'working'!ha but the photographer is still working on the final prints, and i have yet to see them, and i I dont want to give to much away, so stay tuned for the debut of this years summer lookbook!

1920s Bathing Beauties

Here in southern California summer is just around the corner and i could not be any more excited! Summer is by far my favorite season and these photos have got me so excited to pull out my 20s swimwear and have me a beach photoshoot!
Im also very excited because not to long ago i bought these two lovely 1920s swimsuits from Fab Gabs Vintage to add to my summer wardrobe. I also plan on bringing these numbers out to Burning Man this year and having me a swing'in time dancing the night away in them!

Jibber Jabber!

Things around the shop have been slow, but i have some exciting new changes that will be happening in the upcoming month and plenty of new vintage frocks to share!

However, i thought i would share some random photos from my trip to Seattle.

On Sunday bee hives and I went to ransack some vintage shops in the University Distract, and we were both rather pleasantly surprised that Seattle had a plethora of 1920s dresses to be found!

Just from the two shops we came out with more than we could carry!

Later that evening we went out for a very late night dinner to Toulouse Petit! I loved the ambiance of this place. Its definitely a restaurant to peep your head into if you live or visit Seattle, WA.

I cant wait to return and visit in the near future, but hopefully this time i can pack up miss bee hives and take her back home with me to sunny California!

The Crow Quill Night Owls

While in Seattle, WA bee hives and I went out on Saturday night to see one of my favorite bands The Crow Quill Night Owls at a local pub down town, and what a fantastic night it was! It was every thing i wanted it to be and more!
The Crow Quill Night Owls are an exceptionally amazing band. They most definitely do not get enough credit for their unique talent and are mostly know in their small town Port Townsend, WA, however they can bring down the house with their great jazzy, Bo- jangle, jug band tunes!

If get a minute I highly suggest you to check outThe Crow Quill Night Owls and their new album "Snakes Liquor" They are a true gem of tunes with quite a bit of spunk that will get your skirts lifted, heels kicking and hips twisting!
